These checklists provide general items that may be required when applying for a mortgage, depending on what your specific scenario entails. Be aware your lender makes all final decisions on what is required with an application and you may be asked for items that are not listed here.
Salaried Borrowers (not self-employed)
- Copy of driver’s license.
- Copy of social security card or passport.
- Most recent two paystubs, or paystubs representing one full month of income.
- Form W-2 from the two previous years.
Self-Employed Borrowers
- Copy of driver’s license.
- Copy of social security card or passport.
- Personal and business tax returns with all schedules from the two previous years. Please include all pages (page 2 MUST be wet signed whether application is electronically done or not).
Refinance Transactions
- Current mortgage statement(s). (This allows us to contact your current lender and order an official payoff to repay this loan in full).
- Home owner’s insurance declaration page or the name and phone number of your insurance agent.
- If bringing money to closing: Most recent bank statement from account(s) where the money for closing will be coming from. Please include all pages.
- All signed disclosures and attached wet signature documents.
Purchase Transactions
- Purchase contract. Please include all pages and contract must be signed by seller and buyer.
- Most recent bank statement from account(s) where the money for closing will be coming from. Please include all pages.
- Name and phone number of your insurance agent who will be arranging your home owner’s policy. All signed disclosures and attached wet signature documents.
Renovation and One-Time Close Programs
- Contractor or builder profile detailing personal and professional information for approval.
- Detailed quote of renovation or construction, and building estimates.
- If property is owned, a Tax Bill is required (for One-Time Close program).
- If property is not owned, a Purchase Agreement or Land Contract is required (for One-Time Close program).
